Deal or No Deal is the new version of game show that is presented in the United States. The game show was hosted by Howie Mandel who is a comedian actor from Canada on the 19th December 2005 on the NCB. The game show was initially a weeklong show for nearly two months and in February 2006 the game show was renowned from multi weekly that was shown typically on every second day of the week. The game show came with its second version in September 2006 with its weeklong event and that was followed by its third version on 17th of September 2007 where it scheduled its game show twice a week. There are a number of exciting gimmicks involved in the game show to make the show more exciting and to maintain the attention of the guests.
According to the game play the third party makes the possible winnings in the cases that are given to 26 models or celebrities. None of the game shows authority is aware of the content in any of the case. According to the game the contestant should select a case that would contain certain amount. Next the contestant would have to remove six cases from the remaining 25 and the amount of the case is shown to the contestant that is lost. The second party or the banker for the game makes a deal with the contestant of purchasing the case that was chosen for a certain amount. The contestant is then asked whether to deal with the banker’s amount or choose not to deal. If the contestant chooses not to deal then the game continues with choosing another six cases that would reveal the contestants lost amount. This again is followed by the banker’s deal to purchase the contestants case. There can always be a bigger amount in the contestant’s case or a smaller amount than the bankers offer. As the game gets closer to the finishing point it becomes more interesting as the banker keeps increasing his deal amount.
There is also another similar game show called as Deal or No Deal that is held in Philippines. The game is played in the similar format but only differs in the amount of the prize money. The United States game show offers nearly one million dollars where as in the game show of Philippines the highest prize amount is US$85,000. Leaving aside the amount of the game show the US Deal or No Deal offers various entertainments during the show that also include gimmicks. There is also another game show in the United States that is known as The Wheel of Fortune. The game show also offers a various methods to win a fortune and according to the game play the contestant should spend the money that is won in shopping at the same game show. Being similar to the Deal or No Deal game show the Wheel of Fortune also offers the same winning amount as both the games are accompanied with entertainment.
