The eyes are moving for each of the characters featured in the True Heroes online slot. It makes the 2D design that bit more intriguing once you load the game and check it out in more detail. With some heroes right in front of us, could you be about to spot any of them in number to bag a prize?
Introducing the new True Heroes online slot game
We mentioned the 2D presentation, so don’t expect to see any 3D effects popping out at you when you load the game. However, you’ll find several interesting features highlighted in the slot, and with some good fortune you might see those in action too.
What do we know about the developer?
This game was created by Arrows Edge. Their games tend to have a specific look about them you’ll see here once more.
Can you try the game without spending anything on it?
You can, yes. The demo is easy to load and has enough demo credits in it to give you a long play if you want it. Remember, though, that no demo credits can be withdrawn.
Theme details for this slot game
The game is based on the emergency services, with police cars, ambulances, a fireman, a policewoman, and even a dog working for the fire service involved.
Design elements in play here
The design gives us a basic city backdrop to look at as we play. This merely adds to the theme and it isn’t too detailed. The icons aren’t terribly detailed either, although the eyes of the main characters do move occasionally. It’s a little disconcerting until you get used to it.
What can we expect from the True Heroes online slot?
Well, to start with, we have a 5 x 3 format here, giving us five reels to look at on each spin. There is a Super Slots progressive jackpot positioned just above the reels too, so keep an eye on that. It seems as if any bet amount gives you a chance to try and nab it following a paid spin.
The ambulance acts as the substitute, replacing everything else except for the police car, which has an important role to play.
Are the paylines fixed or variable?
Fixed – and there are 25 to bet on with each spin.
When the game loads, you’ll notice a $5 spin bet in place. You can reduce that to a quarter though or increase it to the maximum bet worth $250. All Arrows Edge games tend to give you a large array of options to choose from.
Where will you find the paytable?
Look for the question mark underneath and just to the left of the first reel. Select that and you can read through all the details for the game.
Does the game feature a bonus?
It does, yes, and you need to trigger it by finding the police car anywhere on reel three. This triggers the Police Chase Bonus. You’ll get 10x your bet for activating it, and one of the rows of icons is covered by police tape. Honestly, we’re not sure why, as it didn’t seem to affect the way the icons fell, or which prizes were secured in the following spins. While you get 25 plays when the feature unlocks, you pay for them as normal.
If you trigger it a second time while still in the first 25 plays, a bigger prize is granted for doing so. Another row is then covered by police tape. This could happen three times, and if you get the third one, you receive 100x your bet and the mode ends.
You might also benefit from a Shattering Wild appearing in either the base game or the Police Chase mode. Either way, it duplicates itself to cover other positions in the game. Those could therefore give you other ways to nab some prizes. The only difference between triggering it in the base game or the Police Chase part of the game is the size of the random multiplier it brings along for the ride.
Any free spins?
No – while the Police Chase initially looks like freebies, it isn’t, and there are none to get here.
RTP is unknown
Arrows Edge doesn’t appear to have made the value public yet.
How do we rate this slot game?
We think this is worthy of 8 out of 10, which is unusual for us since the bonus is a little strange and there are no free games to be had. We’re not sure of the purpose of the police tape, as it seems to have no effect on how the reels play out or how those games stack up once you are inside that mode. The best bit is that the modes do give you the chance to enjoy some bigger prizes.
Will we spot any winners for this game?
With a progressive jackpot involved, yes, there is a chance we might hear of a fortunate winner.
Play for entertainment only
This is possible if you select demo mode. Some casinos allow non-members to try their games, so see if you can find one offering Arrows Edge games in demo format.
Play for real if you’re a member
With lots of online casinos offering games from this developer, it should be relatively simple to find one you’d like to join. You can then check out the True Heroes slot in real-play mode.
What about mobile play?
The True Heroes slot from Arrows Edge is good for mobile devices too. From Android to Windows and iOS, all tablets and smartphones should give you an equally pleasing experience.
