Butterflies II Slots

With butterflies flitting around everywhere you look, it’s no surprise to find ourselves in a garden in this game. Butterflies II is a sequel to the original Butterflies title, so if you enjoyed what you found in that one, consider trying this too.

Don’t do it until you’ve read our review though, as we have some info to help you work out whether to play.

Developer information for this slot release

It comes from Wager Gaming, otherwise known by the letters WGS.

Demo accessibility

We found the game at several WGS casinos and we could try the demo at most of those without needing an account. It means you can easily try the game to see if it offers you everything you want to see in a slot game.

A familiar theme is back for more

The game revolves around butterflies, so they have designed a garden for them to be active in. Flowers and caterpillars make it onto the reels and appear in the background as well.

Design features in Butterflies II

There is a ton of detail in this game. It’s not a 3D game but it makes up for that by putting a ton of color into everything. It must be spring or summer, judging by how everything looks.

Reels and icons to find in the Butterflies II slot game

The game has five reels and uses the typical mix of three symbols per reel. You won’t find a progressive prize to go for though.

The wild symbol is called House and you might initially wonder why. However, when you realize it is a cocoon, you’ll understand that a caterpillar uses this as it changes into a butterfly. It replaces other icons and appears on the first reel only. It unlocks a feature too, but we’ll cover that in a moment.

The game includes a scatter too, shown as a flower and labeled as SCATTER. It helps separate it from the rest of the symbols, since everything shows a riot of color.

Paylines in action in this slot game

You’ve got 25 to bet on here.

Speaking of bets…

Lots of games from this developer go for a range of coins from a cent to $10. This one ticks that same box, so there is a lot of betting potential for most players to use.

Paytable info

It’s spread over a few pages and is hidden behind the info icon. This is in the bottom left of your game screen.

A bonus triggered by the wild

Remember that we said the wild could be useful? Not only does it work as a wild, it shows you what happens when a cocoon breaks and the butterfly within breaks free. If you scoop any prizes when a wild appears, those are paid first.

After that, you can see what happens as the butterfly flits around the reels and lands wherever it can. Whenever it lands, the symbol it chooses goes wild as well. You cannot tell how many extra wilds you might get… but if they trigger more prizes, those are also paid out.

Free spins aren’t available

There are none in this game, unfortunately.

RTP information

We don’t have any for the game as nothing was confirmed inside the paytable.

Do we like the Butterflies II slot game?

Yes, although we suspect some might find it simplistic compared to others with bonus features included. It does enough to earn seven points out of 10, but the only feature here is the wild… or a hatching wild, as you might call it.

It doesn’t seem to appear very often, but when it does, you can expect one or more other wilds to pop up elsewhere too, which is a cool feature.

Score up to 3,000x your bet

This is paid for finding five matching butterfly icons as shown on the paytable, all appearing on one paid line. There are different butterflies though, so make sure you know what they look like and see which ones prove more fortunate to find.

Start using the demo to check it out

Some players might only want to play this for short stints. Others might find the game doesn’t offer them enough potential to play it. You can work out whether it ticks the boxes you look to fill by checking out the demo first.

Play for real at WGS casinos today

If you see the logo for Butterflies II, you’ll know the game is ready for you to play. You must be a member to try the real version, of course.

What about playing on a tablet or smartphone?

You can do this if you wish – Android and iOS devices are fine to use as WGS created the game with touchscreens in mind for that version. If you’ve played the real thing on a computer, go back to the demo for your first foray into mobile play.
