Do we know which developer got creative with this theme?
We do – the game comes from Realtime Gaming. The letters RTG are usually given as the alternative name for this outfit but either way, you’re in for a good time playing another of their great slots.

It did for us. There are several hogs dressed to impress on the loading screen alone, and if you like your slots to come with lots of detail, you can’t fail to like this one. The demo does, of course, give you a chance to see the game in action while reserving your cash to see if it’s a good one to play.
Is the theme a mix of these two elements, the hogs and the luau?
Yes, it literally is that. Expect a beach scene, lots of bright flowers, plenty of horned hogs, and lots more besides. This is a great example of how many slot games marry two diverse themes, joining them in the same game. It’s almost a subset of the standard one-theme game we all know and love.
A detailed design that does well to set the scene
Once the game begins, you’ll see the reels set inside what looks like a shaded hut on the beach. The title is lit up above those reels, and the whole thing has a celebratory feel. Lots of hogs appear in action, each looking happy and ready to help you find some winning combinations.
While the game does resort to the usual selection of letters for the lower-valued icons, it has spruced them up with plenty of lights. They’re a lot more detailed than the usual ones you’d see in other games.
Getting down to the features in Wild Hog Luau slots
There are five reels in this game, but no progressive jackpots are provided. A skeletal hog’s head appears as a wild symbol and shows the word WILD too.
The other special symbol to look for is the totem pole – a multicolored icon that can secure some free games for you. This can appear in stacks over the reels as well.
Does this slot game have lots of paylines present?
It doesn’t appear so, no. The screens we’ve seen promoting this game show the controls underneath the reels in their normal positions. Over on the left, you see 8 lines mentioned… and there are no up or down buttons to deselect any, so we guess there are eight fixed lines for use in this game.
However, prizes are paid for consecutive matching icons on the lines. That means you can start from any position. The video we watched highlighted a combo on reels three through to five, while another prize was received for a combo on the middle three reels.

Does Wild Hog Luau include any bonus elements?
There is a Lucky Streak Re-spin feature that comes into play whenever a winning combination is found. Everything in the winning combo stays in place. Meanwhile, everything else is given the free re-spin. If other icons appear to grant another prize on that re-spin, the same thing happens once more. This carries on until you reach a spin where nothing new is won.
We’ve seen this feature in other games, but we always like to see it and it works well here too.
