Trigger Happy Slots

Are you quick off the mark to play a new slot game? If so, you might want to be quick to check out this new game, coming to several great casinos near you online soon. Trigger Happy seems to indicate a gun might be involved, and that could be true as we are headed back to the Old West to play this one.

Two cowgirls are posing for our attention as the game begins, but what else should we expect to see if we decide this is going to be worth trying?

About the game

Trigger Happy gives us a shiny silver title icon to look at over the reels. There is a six shooter on either side and a cowboy hat sitting atop it, so you immediately get that Old West feel even before you take a spin on the reels.

Who is the slot game developer?

None other than RTG, or Real Time Gaming, if you prefer to use their full name. No doubt that name, whichever way you say it, is far from unusual to you. You can view lots of titles from them at RTG-powered casinos online right now. Look out for examples such as Builder Beaver, Dino Island, Hillbillies Cashola, and Purrfect Pets. There are plenty more based around numerous themes too.

Is there any demo play available?

We suspect so – most RTG slots do offer a demo, particularly when you’re looking at the newer games you could try.

About the theme for Trigger Happy slots

The Wild West – or the Old West if you prefer – is the main attraction in Trigger Happy slots. If you like westerns or a similar theme in some slots you’ve played before, you can bet there is a lot to look forward to in this game too.

More about the game design

We have some sharp graphics to appreciate once the game screen loads. The Wild West town is used as a background, although you cannot see much of it beyond the two cowgirls standing either side of those reels. The skies are blue, with the reels set into a wooden frame on a stage of some sort. What else will you find there? Check out the game and see.

Slot game type and details

Five reels are loaded once the game is ready to play. You will see a major jackpot amount appearing in the top right of the screen, just above the reels. However, the game details reveal there is a minor jackpot as well. The major one resets to $1k while the minor one resets to $250 once they have been claimed. The jackpots are not grouped.

There are two wilds in this game, and you might already have guessed they are the two cowgirls. One is blonde and the other is a redhead. They behave differently though, so it’s worth considering the differences. The redhead cowgirl appears grouped on the first two reels, subbing for everything except scatters. Meanwhile, the blonde cowgirl appears grouped on the final two reels, subbing for all but scatters as well. Neither of them appears on the middle reel.

The scatter is the sheriff badge, so watch out in case that might appear in a spin as well. Scatter prizes are possible if you find enough of them.

Paylines available to bet on

There are 30 lines in this game, and they are all fixed. This means you must always bet on all 30 lines in each spin.

What are your betting options here?

You’ll find an assortment of coins available when considering your options in the Trigger Happy slot. Look at the Bet Per Line feature in the bottom left corner and use the plus and minus indicators to see the full range. Make sure you’re happy with the amount chosen and multiply it by 30 to get your bet amount per spin.

Is there a paytable?

Yes, you can click on the up arrow shown above a pile of coins to open this. You can then read through the rules and make sure you are familiar with how the game works before you do anything else.

Would you be able to trigger a bonus round?

There is something called a Lucky Feature that could randomly be triggered following any game. This may either award some free spins (between five and 10 of them) or the Trigger Happy feature. You can read more about that one below.

Are there free spins available?

Yes, if you manage to find three or more of the scattered sheriff badges over the reels in one spin, you can unlock the Trigger Happy Feature. Before the games begin, you will be able to select one of the cowgirls to help you. They will provide a 2x multiplier whenever they help you score a prize. You’ll also receive a bonus. If three further scatters appear in a free game, another five freebies will be added.

So, what about those Trigger Happy features? The redhead cowgirl will offer one of these two features if you picked her. She will either substitute for one scatter per reel in the free games or she will be a permanent expanded wild over the first reel.

If you chose the blonde cowgirl, she will either cover the entire fifth reel for the free games, or if you are lucky, she will cover both reels four and five for their duration.

What is the game RTP for Trigger Happy?

This is not yet known and will not likely be discovered until the game is released.

Our considered slot game rating for Trigger Happy slots

We will update this section once the game is released and we’ve had a chance to play it. However, given the bonuses and free games up for grabs, we think our score may well be a good one.

Watching out for slot game winners

With the progressive jackpot elements in play here, it is hard to see how fans of those slots won’t end up liking this one too.

Will it be possible to play for fun?

Yes, you should be able to find the game at an online casino that does permit demo play. Make sure you have the settings correct to allow for this.

Will it be simple to switch to play for real money?

It should be, but again, make sure you know whether you have selected demo mode or real play mode prior to adjusting your bets. Demo mode should allow for practice credits to be used rather than real cash.
